SLEEPY

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
I just realised how bad my scanner actually is, so sorry for the blackness of the photos but it wouldn't have felt right lightening film photos on Photoshop.
I hit the ground running back at uni the past week - it's scary how fast you can forget about a short holiday once things like uni work/ work/ internships seem to take over your life again. Despite quite outspokenly declaring my hatred for the colder months, I'm actually finding myself enjoying the chillier morning bike rides in the winter sun and the softer light throughout the day. It seems like in Winter it's always either sunrise or sunset, there's never that harsh, midday sun like we get in Australia during Summer.
Have a good week!

TEST

The 50mm f/1.4 lens that I had wanted for ages finally arrived! Albeit with a guilty conscience - I can't really afford it at the moment - but I really wanted it to arrive in time for Europe so I can capture all those food memories with the lens' beautiful crispness. I promise not to have every photo I take from now on overly shallow depth of field-y (it's so tempting though!).

Lately I've been missing Europe even more than usual and can hardly wait the 1.5 months til I go. Trying to stay content in every situation though and enjoy every minute - no matter where I am.

(all photos by me, mostly taken on the world's cheapest and sturdiest little point-and-shoot): 1. Paris 2. Madeleine metro stop 3. Venice 4. Florence 5. Hiking in Cinque Terre 6. Ghent, Belgium 7. Amsterdam in winter 8. On the train in Switzerland 9. Potsdam, Germany (which also happens to be one of my favourite places).
