Pictures from Lisbon. It seems so far away now I'm home but I'm slowly making my way chronologically through my trip. Must do's in Lisbon: Try Pateis de Belem (a type of Portugese tart from a specific part of Lisbon), get lost amongst the tiny tiled apartments, go to the Feiro da Ladra Sunday fleamarket, eat sardines (the best fish I've ever tasted), get the bus up then walk down Sintra mountain.

TAPAS
Thanks to expensive flight prices from Budapest directly to Lisbon, I was lucky to have a 2-day'taste' (L.O.L. right?!) of Madrid and was very impressed by it. These photos are primarily of touristy-yet-good San Miguel Market which stocks every type of tapas & sangria you could imagine. I loved the crazy, busy food culture of this city.

BUDAPEST APARTMENT
A highlight of my trip was spending a week in a friend's late grandmother's apartment in the middle of Budapest. Everything was exactly as she left it and we were often amused by what a 'war child' her grandmother apparently was - a mug's handle that had been broken in at least 5 pieces superglued together, an old deodorant bottle used to store peppercorns and drink bottles' lids reused as spoons. I really loved Hungary and everyone I met there and can proudly say that I can now correctly pronounce 'Magyar' (Hungary in Hungarian - which apparently is the 3rd most difficult language to learn).
